Do you mean this motherboard? It's by Gigabyte. Are you plugged into that boards HDMI port or the graphics card's ports? You are also now say you have 32 GB of memory. Earlier you said you had 64 GB of memory.
However, My earlier 'fix' only seems to work on the static 3D text and not the animated 3D text and in my copy of VPX 11 I can edit 3D text but not get it to animate so at this point I am going to raise a ticket with technical support once I can put a video up showing the problem to show Magix. I will also put the video up here to show the others what we both seem to be suffering as soon as I have time. For now can you at least edit a 3D static text without a problem or is it just the animated versions?
I am still of the opinion that a possible Windows update has caused this but Magix may be unaware of the problem.
The fact I can replicate the problem convinces me there is something wrong but I can't get to the bottom of it.
That John EB can't replicate the problem but only has a six core processor makes me wonder.
Other animated titles that are not 3D are not effected.
I will get back as soon as I have made the video and raised a ticket with Magix.
. . . . Monitor is hooked up to hdmi port the mother board . . . .
This could be why I am not seeing the issue - I have dual monitors, one connected to the motherboard (uses the Intel GPU) and the other connected to my RTX 2060.
As you have no monitor connected to the RTX this could be an issue.
Does your monitor have a second input?
If so connect it so one input is connected to the motherboard and the other to the RTX, you may have to swap cables over, however this does not matter so long as you ensure that in Windows settings, System, Display that the Multiple displays option is set to Duplicate.
As far as I'm aware MEP has never opened Xara 3D Editor although it shows up in task manager.
In VPX it came up as MAGIX 3D Maker, not Xara 3D editor and in task manager it comes up as X 3D in both programs. If either program crashes and I have to shut down either via Task Manager, the X 3D app stays active whereas if you can close either video editor X3D closes with the editor.
Just pulling down a 3D title though never used to automatically open the 3D editor in VPX.
I remember when I had MEP 2018 I had trouble with 3D texts not importing after a Windows update and it would not work for a long time and then one day (possibly after another Windows update) it suddenly worked again. I also noticed that MAGIX 3D Maker is a 32 bit program.
I have also noticed the animated giffs that program produces can be played and are animated in the timeline and can be stretched to length but they need to have the Chroma Key Editor used on them. Importing an X3D file that X3D produced and saved, then placing it on the timeline opens the X3D app and brings up the text editing box and the whole program freezes again.
My copy of VPX 11 is no longer locking up since I took it off of Windows Graphics Settings when using 3D titles. Nor has it slowed it down in any way. It's just the animated titles in VPX also don't animate.
Anyway, Ive sent the ticket to the Magix technical department. Hopefully they may know something.
I have had a reply from the Magix staff this morning.
It reads.
Thank you for your message.
------------------------------------------- The problem you described has already been recognized by our technical support team and has been forwarded to the developers.
They are currently working on a solution to the problem.

Along with with the other identified bugs / problems I assume. So whether there will be a fix for this in the current versions of the program I have no idea. It looks like for now another confirmed bug for John CB to add to the list of bugs that need to be fixed.
Sorry it has taken so long but eventually I decided to try them for myself.
After exhaustive tests using the 3D Decorative Basic templates at a lot of various frame rates and resolutions that the program freezes and becomes completely unresponsive having to be shut down via the task manager.
I have not tried other 3D titles such as the animated ones but suspect some other effects are also not holding such as Simple Geometry and Popular Shapes.
