3D Projection

Dave-Bell wrote on 3/25/2019, 9:22 PM

I have created a 3D movie which I can view successfully on my 3D TV, but I would like to be able to view it on my 3D projector.

I have tried many combinations of 3D file formats and stereoscopic players but so far have been unable to view the output in 3D. Has anyone successfully created a 3D movie and played it on a PC with output to a projector (on an HDMI port)?.

If so, can they enlighten me on how they managed to achieve it? My goal is to have a number of 3D movies I have created stored on my NAS, and sent to the projector for viewing on the big screen.

Hi, welcome to the Magix forums.

I have no experience of creating or displaying 3D movies but I would suspect the problem is caused by the fact that your 3D projector requires input video files to be in a particular format or formats. So, what format(s) does it require?

The options for most projectors would likely be either half or full with side by side, of half or full height over/under. As Jeff says though, it will be down to the spec of your particular projector.

@Dave-Bell

Hi

To add to @emmrecs and @RogerGunkel comments.

If the projector requires a row interlaced video format then Movie Edit Pro cannot export this format, IIRC it requires a special codec (MVC) which has not been available for about 4 or5 years.
