ACID Music S/N Not Accepted Windows 7

I have a legal copy of ACID Music that I purchased in the late 90's.

My new / old laptop is 64 bit Windows 7 SP1 and I'm trying to install ACID on it but the login/splash screen will not accept my registration number on the first page of my manual.

I've tried installing in every single compatibility mode but get errors that the program was not installed correctly. The only time I don't get the warning is when I turn off compatibility mode. But, that's when I run into the problem of my registration number not being accepted.

I am hard wired to the internet using Firefox 115 so I know info can be sent and received during the activation process. After inputting the number, the windows blue spinning wheel never stops and the program will not go any further.

I'd appreciate it if someone could tell me how to enable the full ACID capabilities. For now, I'm using Express but it is very limited.

I paid for the program and I would like to have full access again if possible.

Hi

. . . . ACID Music that I purchased in the late 90's . . . . .

Is this the Sonic Foundry or Sony product? If not, what is the program's full name.

Given the purchase date timeframe and assuming this is the Sonic Foundry or Sony version, the registration servers are no longer available, to activate the program.

If the Sony version, there is a slim possibility, that your registration details may have been transferred to Magix when they purchased the software for Sony. You can check by logging in to your account on the magix.com website with the username and password used for the Sony registration and any registered products will be under My Products, if it is there, there should be a link to enable you to re-install the software.

Thanks John.

It is Sonic Foundry ACID Music 2.0.

Unfortunately, my email and login info is obsolete for Sony (who I dealt with last time this happened).

I guess I will use ACID Express, Cubebase LE, Cubebase 4, and Audacity for future projects.
