@David-Lawler Please remove instantly your coupon codes!!!

If you already have version 10 then it should be enough to just check for updates via the help menu.

I tried the Help / Update program online option, but indicates there are no updates avail. ??

Screenshot of email, minus the serial numbers (sorry about that)

SP. wrote on 4/18/2021, 7:45 AM

@David-Lawler You could also try to download the installer again and maybe it will install version 10.5 and maybe you can activate it with your serial number. https://dl03.magix.net/trial_acidpro10_dlm.exe

Graham-Hawker wrote on 4/18/2021, 8:24 AM

What happens when you choose upgrade from the Magix site? It should ask you to log in or otherwise supply your existing serial number.

William-Reed wrote on 4/18/2021, 8:35 AM

I have the same issue as David. The downloaded installer suggested by SP is for 10.0.5

adamagain47 wrote on 4/18/2021, 8:35 AM

Just got the same email.

Matthew-Broadstreet wrote on 4/18/2021, 8:53 AM

Same issue here, updating from within the app shows no updates. Link takes me to the website which doesn't change (shop page) when logged in, adding to cart lets me switch it to an 'upgrade' for $79, but no free 10.5 update visible anywhere. Notifier tasktray app also offered to sell me the 10.0 Upgrade for $79 (I have 10 installed, but also 11 non-pro and an older Pro license as well not installed).

Confusing product launch...for an app that already has obscure installation issues for some users (uninstalling VCC reg 201x etc...)

SP. wrote on 4/18/2021, 8:55 AM

@David-Lawler @Matthew-Broadstreet @William-Reed @adamagain47 It could be that the e-mail was sent a little bit early and the downloader isn't updated yet. I would suggest you to try again at a later time.

Hi

The fact that you have received an email I would contact Magix at infoservice@ magix.net for further information.

Can anyone confirm the build number for this release? 10.0.5 Build 35 has a (IMO show-stopper) bug that wipes licenses for purchased plugins. Magix support indicated a fix would be released some time around now.

Thanks,

Stacey

William-Reed wrote on 4/18/2021, 11:18 AM

We don't have it yet, that's why we're posting here. But it's a whole half step version, so the build # isn't too relevant I would think...

emvee wrote on 4/18/2021, 2:12 PM

I just paid $79 for the upgrade. Who cares, and it works so far. Second, am I getting $200.00 worth of loops? And how to use the coupons? Only soundpools? Confused. Usersince 2.0.

Michael-Maninger wrote on 4/18/2021, 4:50 PM

I'm bummed just paid $79.00 for a free update to 10.5. The download is 10.0.5 which I already updated to. When I ran the installer it said I needed to uninstall old version, so I did, now ACID won't install because of an error with Visual c++ 2013 install. The thing is, I know Visual c++ 2013 is already on my computer. I'm not getting warm and fuzzy feelings about this. What good are a bunch of vouchers for loops when I can't use them?

@Michael-Maninger Firstly write a mail to shop@magix.net to get a refund. Secondly it can solve the problem to uninstall Visual C++ 2013 from your computer and then starting the ACID installation process again.

@emvee I would also suggest you to ask for a refund too.

William-Reed wrote on 4/19/2021, 2:34 PM

Has anyone heard back from Magix yet?

SP. wrote on 4/19/2021, 2:44 PM

@William-Reed No, but I believe that, at this moment in time, version 10.0.5 is the new version 10.5. Have you tried to update your software from within ACID?

Robert-Shamansky wrote on 4/19/2021, 3:07 PM

I’m thinking there is a 10.5 version that’s just not available yet. I grabbed my 3 free loop packs regardless 😄

SP. wrote on 4/19/2021, 3:11 PM

@Robert-Shamansky It looks like the new feature of version 10.5 is the Producerplanet-in-app-shop. If you have this shop inside your version it is very likely that version 10.0.5 is version 10.5.

TPeirce-Baker wrote on 4/19/2021, 3:56 PM

my update window does not populate properly

William-Reed wrote on 4/19/2021, 4:15 PM

I have 10.0.5 installed. Producerplanet in the Help menu is just a link to the website.

Robert-Shamansky wrote on 4/19/2021, 4:31 PM

I have 10.0.5 installed, just the link to the website.
