Acid Pro 11

I tested out the new Acid Pro 11 software prior to purchase and all seemed well. I decided (warily) to purchase the upgrade (umpteenth time) only now to discover that Acid keeps crashing continually.
Has anybody else experienced issues? It seems the team at Magix has either refused or has been unable to fix the constant crashing issue that plagues Acid. Is it time to finally say goodbye?

The stability of AP9-10-11 is a MAJOR issue. It is known by Magix, along with all the other bugs that plague this program. However, there is supposedly an update coming to address these know issues. The rumor says July...?

Many people on this forum have moved to other DAW's but still hope that Magix will fix this once great program. I keep it on one of my computer in hopes that they will do the right thing and fix it but never use AP10 any more. If they fix it I'll start using it again as I did like the MIDI editing and work flow. Cheers

I have been using Acid Pro and purchasing updates since it was owned by Sonic Foundry. Pro 11 is likely my last unless the many crashing issues are resolved very soon. Will certainly no longer recommend it to those I have been helping get started with their recording. Presently contemplating moving to Cubase but haven`t chosen an alternative yet. Sad to see a program that was so great die in the care of its current owner.

stephen im somewhat bemused as to why you would post that link to @Alan-Pitt in fact baffled , that link is seven months old and the only thing that has happened in that time is ap 10 was repackaged as ap11 as was ap 8 to ap 9 all containing the indentical faults and issues no fixes just shiny new packaging so to post that link was somewhat erroneous

@blake-fast

Perhaps you did not notice that this thread was started in July this year and Stephen's reply was made the same day as the OP posted? The link in his post was, at the time of writing, less than two months old and the latest available information.

Yes, it is now seven months old but it certainly was not then!

I've been using Acid Pro 11 (latest release) with the supplied Melodyne editor this weekend to tweak some vocal tracks. It seems to work fine BUT when I loaded everything back in this morning, all my edits had vanished, so the vocal tracks were back to their original pre-edit sound. I can't face the thought of spending another 3 hours getting everything back in tune again ! Is this is a bug? why aren't all the edits I made using Melodyne coming back when I reload the project? I kept saving it throughout the editing process.
