@G.K.G. In case Acid crashes during the start-up, Windows creates a crash report in the Windows Reliability Monitor. If you copy and paste the report here, we might be able to find out, what the problem is.

@G.K.G.

Both error reports show the problem is in ntdll.dll. This is a core Windows file.

Please do a search in the forums for "ntdll.dll" and check the offered solutions to this problem.

In addition, are you aware that both ACID Pro and Sound Forge are now BorisFX products and all support is now offered by them, rather than by Magix?

@G.K.G. Because you have Sound Forge Audio Studio installed you definitely also have the Magix Low Latency ASIO driver on your system. This is an old version of ASIO4ALL and on certain modern Windows versions, it can become unstable. I recommend you uninstall the Magix Low Latency ASIO driver.

Click on the Windows start button in the bottom left corner and type regedit. Then click on the Regedit app.

Then navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > ASIO > Magix Low Latency 2016:

Now, simply right click the Magix Low Latency 2016 folder, and delete it.

Then restart your computer. Please select the Restart option and not the Shut down option.

I hope this helps. If you have trouble deleting the folder, try starting Regedit as administrator via the right click option.

A newer version of the ASIO driver is available here: https://asio4all.org/downloads/ASIO4ALL_2_16.exe
