Activation

I purchased the  movie Edit Pro 2016, I already have  the 2013 version and currently use it.  For some reason after multiple attempts I cannot submit an activation code to get an E-Mail confirmation from Magix, and of course ther is poor customer service, they dont answer the phones  and I feel like I'm wasting my time just getting approval to start using this new version...I down loaded the manuel but I'm at the end of my patience and will take this product back to Best Buy and get my money back and try a different manufacturer and hopefully won't go through the same runaround just trying to get started. activation was asking for my computer number, I entered that and still no luck...not sure what's going on but it's getting old

Did you purchase the boxed version of MEP 2016 ?

If so then when you enter the serial number and try to activate, the software will automatically connect via the Internet to the registration servers, however this is failing for some reason eg the comuter is not connected to the Internet, your firewall / anti virus is blocking the program from accessing the Internet.

. . . . activation was asking for my computer number, I entered that and still no luck . . . . 

Did you get the computer number (id) by using the Activate via Post / Fax option on the registration/activation page? If not see this topic.

  Same problem, brought Vegas pro $599. will not activate. Wrote in Pc ID #, didn't work, I have no idea why they need this. So they can put BS on my PC? Send E-mail, no responce, waited till after 9 EST to call , message says, " Call back after 9 " Ha HA, big joke. The only thing that worked was they got my $. I have a Magix music program which works great, I'll record my music, put it on CD and tranfer it to other PC. Then I get noise,. . .why? So, you have to pay them to take it off, HA HA, other big joke.
