After doing an update to Video Pro X it now will not run.

I bought Video Pro X several years ago and never used it. I thought I'd check it out after doing an update. Now it won't run. The fact that I get a constant reminder to extend the service update makes me wonder if the update I got was purposely a bad version to make me buy the new extended version. I have bought Music Maker, several Video Editors, Xara, Video Pro X. I think I'm going to throw in the towel and go another route.

Hi

. . . .The fact that I get a constant reminder to extend the service update makes me wonder if the update I got was purposely a bad version to make me buy the new extended version. . . . .

To expand on @Scenestealer comment - this is complete fantasy! It is also an unfounded and libellous statement.

If you do not have a current Update Service subscription the program continues to work, the only limitation is no further updates or if you have to re-install it would revert to the initial version you purchased.

If you want help then we need more information - computer specification, Windows version and build number, Video Pro X full name and version number - see this comment for more details of what is required - and more information on the 'Upgrade' and what happens when you start the program.
