After program update can't open a project. Only 8 tracks go store buy

After music maker program update, can't open a projet with more than eight tracks. When I go and try to reopen the project it shows a message that only can open 8 tracks. Click here, so I click there and enter my key, but then it shows you already have all this download from the store. Go to store and nothing to download. All instruments are there, but can't open the project.

What I did, I went to the store and buy it again, but it showed acquired and loaded. Add the extra tracks and then added a couple of instruments that were missing. Hmm... I expect that after program update this does not interrupt my work. I've been using MusicMaker amateur and pro since 2007 so far.

@alex_dearmero

Hi

Once logged in to the Store all your Purchases, Instruments, Soundpools and Features/Functions should be available for you download and install on the Downloads tab.

. . . . I expect that after program update this does not interrupt my work . . . .

Asssuming you upgraded to the current version, 2021, then there are some bugs which may affect you - see this topic.

. . . . MusicMaker amateur and pro . . . .

There is no amateur or pro version, all variants have the same core program the Plus and Premium variants add more features, Instruments and Soundpools.

Sorry, I didn't mean versions of Music Maker, I meant using as amateur and pro (me being the amateur just for fun and pro as composer). My first Music Maker was Music Maker 11 deluxe, in 2007. Thanks John EB. Alex.

Hello,

i had the same problem with "can not open more than eight tracks" every time when i was opening the project with more than 8 tracks .....What i was doing, that i clik on manage your subscription and below this, appears another purple row (i do not remember what was written there) and then it was working well. Sometimes, or when i was waiting few seconds the Magix was doing this automatically. It was like Magix was still asking the activation with every opening of the Magix?

...but today i get an error message and i can not work with more than 8 tracks.....i do not know what to do more

i reinstall the Magix (i have MMM 2021 premium edition) but there is still this error with every opening of Magix. Please help me. Thank you.

@Lubomir-Rabatin The Magix servers for Music Maker are offline at the moment. There is nothing you can do.

Yes, server is back...I have one question to ths...So if i want to open the project with more than 8 tracks i must be connected to internet? Because when i open it (with internet connetion), i will load the project. Then, when it is loaded i will turn off the internet connection on laptot and i can work with this project. I can even add more tracks without internet connection. So internet connection is needed only during loading of project? Or? Thank you.

SP. wrote on 3/4/2021, 9:00 AM

@Lubomir-Rabatin The internet is needed for the login process which verifies what features your user account has unlocked. If you don't log out and don't use the online shop you can use the software without internet.

Lubomir-Rabatin wrote on 3/4/2021, 11:15 AM

i upload and install now new update of MMM.....i can not login.....i am also clicking on log in button but it does not work. ...do you know what happened please? thanks...

It works already.....sorry....maybe sometimes i am quicker as system :)

@Lubomir-Rabatin

I have noticed that sometimes, it takes up to a minute for everything to come up (Store, etc). So, I open a new project, wait a bit, then open an existing project.

The very unfortunate conclusion from observing the authentication issues yesterday is that licensing info is not saved locally at all, and if Magix ever goes out of business, all the "features" will became unavailable. We don't buy the features, we get a lifetime subscription to them (and I mean lifetime of the product, not personal lifetime)
