Thanks but does not solve my problem.

I have a valid license for Magix Pro from spring last year, HOWEVER when opening that version it prompted me for an automatic update. After successful download and installation it did not let me activate it so I could not run the new version program. Fail code -24 - claiming my original serial number was originally registered under a different email adress. Please reinstate.

That is the crux of the problem! Are you sure you used the same email address to register the original purchase as you are now using to activate the update? The email addresses must be absolutely identical or registration/activation will fail.

One thing to try: go to your Magix account, log in (for which you will need the correct email address), go to My products and check the details of your existing registration.

Also, please remember these are user to user forums so no-one here can reinstate anything for you!

If you continue to experience this problem you need to email infoservice@magix.net, explain all the details to them and ask for their assistance.

One other thought: I note you write you have a valid licence for Magix Pro from spring last year. Have you chosen to renew the Update service or taken out the new subscription facility, since that licence purchase would have entitled you to update your software, free, for twelve months from the original date of purchase? Is it possible your Update service is no longer current?

Hi

You have posted in the Video Pro X forum, yet state 'the new version 2022'.

Which program are you referring to - Video Pro X (VPX) does not use the year designation - the latest is VPX 13, however Movie Edit Pro (MEP) does use the year designation and the latest is MEP 2022.

To avoid further confusion please quote the correct full name, or acronym as above, of the product and the version number available under Help, About when available.
