An error occurred during transfer (installation failure)

Hi all,

I just got Video Pro X 11 through the Humble Bundle but I can't seem to install it. Every time I try, I get the following message:

An error occurred during transfer which caused the installation to stop. This problem can most likely be fixed by restarting the transfer of the installer application. If you experience further problems, contact the MAGIX support: http://support.magix.com

Click "OK" to restart the installation transfer.

Clicking either OK or Cancel restarts the transfer, which then inevitably fails again.

I was previously able to download and activate Movie Studio 16 with no problems, as well as download Music Maker and the Update Manager.

I'm using Win10 latest build with some slightly older hardware (but that shouldn't be a problem for the installation, right?)


Any idea how to fix this?

Hi.

Try turning off your antivirus program as some parts of VPX and MEP are known to give false positives to antivirus programs and will stop the download.

It ended up working when I tried it again. The issue was probably server side because the SoundForge install was not working either but it is working with no problems now.
