animated callouts similar to "hi-tech callouts for FCPX"

Hello all,

I have seen some videos which include some pretty nifty callouts for videos. Not talking about those ridiculous speech bubbles.

Unfortunately, I found out the plugin that does that is for different software. If you google "HI-TECH CALLOUTS FOR FCPX" you will see images of what I am looking for. These also move with the video.

I wonder if any of you, dear readers, are aware of a similar product that is out there?

Many thanks for reading.

Richard

Dèjà vu.

You do realize that FCPX means Final Cut Pro which is an Apple program.

See this thread.

You can use the lower thirds that come with MEP(Plus/Premium) or VPX and keyframe them to follow the action.

Or you can get BluffTitler and make your own. There is a new Template pack 31 for BluffTitler, with templates for lower thirds that you can use or modify as you wish and import into MEP/VPX.

Or, if you have Xara P&GD or Designer Pro X, you can create your own directly from within MEPP. Note, the link to Xara from VPX is currently broken - Grrrrr.

Thank you John. Indeed I realize that FCPX is an Apple program which is why I am trying to find something similar written for us PC users who work with MEP. I will follow your recommendations and do a bit of playing.

Really appreciate you took the time to reply. If you see the plugin for the FCPX in action it's really sleek and nice but indeed, I am not going to switch to a Mac to get the feature :-)

Hi Richard,

MotionFX (their web site is terrible - starts loading with a percentage - I stopped at 15% - they need to learn how to make a web site that doesn't turn off users before they even get into it) made the effects with Mocha and sells them. Strange that they would not extend their range to the PC market.

As I mentioned, you can make these in BluffTitler. There is a steep learning curve, but it's worth it if you want to make your own effects, overlays, animated titles, intros, etc. For certain animations, they use an eps file that gets animated. I have Bixangelo to make these example, if you want to animate handwriting, draw it in Bixangelo and animate it in BluffTitler. There are other programs that do this.

See also this message in the BT Community on using the lower thirds with other programs.

Let us know what you find.

You may want to fill in your profile with you computer info, OS, and Magix programs and versions that you are using.
