Annoying popup

rickduley wrote on 5/21/2026, 2:37 AM

I have just re-installed Video Pro X16 22.0.1.270.

On opening and closing it sends me some advertising popup which is of no interest whatsoever to me.

How do I stop it?

This is the popup

I have stripped out the installation so that only VPX16 is installed. No Creator or anything else.

VPX doesn't have this ?

rickduley wrote on 5/23/2026, 1:04 AM

Sure does.

Seems to have solved the problem.

But, how was I supposed to know that?

😕

Hate to say this but popups are back in fashion. This morning I was greeted with something like this:

A Plague upon MAGIX.

All the settings are here.

I know it it is only trivial and petty but it IS annoying and I would dearly love it to stop.
Does anyone know how to prevent popups from MAGIX?

@rickduley

Rick, I typed "popup" into the search bar on the Support page and one of the returns was this:

That might help you.

I am now far too wary to pronounce, "... peace in our time." Therefore, I will only announce that started VPX16 after using that uninstaller and there was no popup.

Thanks @AAProds

@rickduley

Maybe Magix throws up these "reinstall" scenarios so it gets a chance to restart giving you the popups! 😂 I'm only joking, of course...
