@Can-Dive I do agree that for the price they are charging for VPX, Prores should be a supported codec. I know that with Vegas, we had public beta versions going back a few years, the same with BRAW (Blackmagic). Now, everything is working as it should, although I don't shoot in either of those codecs.

Maybe it is to keep a difference between VPX and Vegas? Marketing is important. Also, all the rage is in color grading, which Vegas has superior tools. Or maybe, they should lower the price of VPX and market it more inline as an upgrade (which it already is) to VDL. But then, scratching my head and looking at the upgrade perpetual, it is not too far out of line. Vegas is $40 more, and the same with the Suite vs VPX Ultimate. But I do find the addons that come with VPX Ultimate more compelling than Vegas Suite, at least for me.

@CubeAce each year, more things are added to software to keep it "current" with the competition. With that, comes a new increase of load on computer hardware. Especially if someone were to use the AI features. I don't know how "current" the coding is in VPX/VDL, but I do know that Vegas is slowly being rewritten. So there are hiccups along the way.
