Apply cross fade to all

Bignomis wrote on 11/28/2014, 7:55 AM

I want to apply cross fade to all the photos in my movie. In storyboard mode have selected them all and clicked on the transition betwen the first two photos selected crossfade but it only creates crssfade for the first photo. Returning and selecting apply to all does not work.

Strangley enough if I do this in timeline mode it does copy from start to finish but only every other photo.

Any ideas how I can make each photo cross fade without having to do each one manually.

Thanks

Hi,

The way I do it (always in the Timeline) is:

1. (If necessary). Ensure the first two objects have Cut (no fade) applied.

2. Click the transition area in the object's bottom left corner and apply Cross Fade.

3. Click the transition area and click Apply to all the following objects in the track.

If that's not working properly for you, please provide further details, including a readable screenshot of a timeline section.

Hi & thank you

Your reply made me realise that before doing anything I was selecting all the objects first whereas I now realise that this was probably working like a double negative since I was also selection apply to all the following objects.

This has fixed the problem so thanks once again.
