MEP 2016 functioning well (so far) in new system Widows 10 Pro with 1TB SSD System Drive and 2TB HHD Storage Drive. This topic has been discussed before. Just 'confirming' for obvious reasons keeping 'capture files' sound effects etc, off the system drive, am I able to assign 'any storage drive' as a capture drive? Please remember my ext. storage drives are either via esata (or) in this case sata (directly off the mother board).

I personally have not seen that particular dialog box before but yes it's a 'save to' directory option or the files will go to the default location.
One thing I have noticed with other versions of MEP is if they crash, those options have to be reset immediately on opening MEP again or the program will often reset itself to the default locations. I personally leave that folder alone but nothing should be in there if you choose to locate the files to another directory on another drive. The new folder / location could be given a different name if you wish to.

Yes.
What I do is create a separate folder for each project on my storage drive (external, if need be), then, when I start the project, go to File>Settings>Program>Folder tab and set all those entries to the folder you've created for that project (you can copy and paste the folder address to the lower entries). Then, any captures you do will be put in there, and the "My Media" link on the Import tab will lead to it. You can put all your media resources in that folder to keep it all in one place and it is easily found.
If you're doing your project on a external eg SATA drive, just make sure it's plugged in before you start working on your project.
