audio stays from old project?

Recently i have a problem where i keep getting an couple days old projects audio in my new video. It happens whenever iimport a clip into my Magix movie edit pro. I can't delete the and keep the imported clips audio cause it automatically overwrites the imported ones audio. I can delete the audio from the clip but then i have to add the clips audio seperate and it's too much work cause the movie is not short.

How do i stop this 'ghost' audio from kepping popping up in my new projects?

* Plus, something is cropping the imported clips shorter too.

Hi

When you start a new vdeo are you starting a new project or opeing the old one, deleting everything and then adding the mew material?

Nope. I start completely new project.

But now I found out that if my clip which i want to import into my project is named the same as the clips from the last project (ex. I name clips by numbers ''1,2,3'' etc. So when the name of the clip matches it uses the audio from the old project. Pretty damn weird. So now I rename every clip I want to import into the editor with unusual name and only then import them. Then the audio and the ''auto cutting'' doesn't activate. Still weird but it's solution I found out by myself.

Hi

Which version of MEP are you using and is it patched up to date?

This suggests that ALL your clips or MEP files (.HO etc.)  from every project you have created are stored in the same folder.  If that is true then it is not surprising that MEP gets a little confused about which clip to use!

It is by far the best practice to create a "new" folder for each "new" project.  This folder will then contain everything for that single project, with no danger of the "cross-contamination" you are seeing.

My apologies to you if I am wrong about this and you are creating a new folder for each project!
