Automatic installer in Movie Studio 17 getting error during Update

Software: Vegas Movie Studio 17 Platinum

Problem: The automatic update and download that occurs when starting the software give 2 options, both are failing.

1. Install immediately - This has failed every time so far after about 6 attempts with the following error each time:

"Cannot update while Movie Studio 17 is running"

2. Install after closing - No error message but nothing happens and next time to open the app, the need for update pop-up appears again.

 

Help?

Thanks in advance to whomever responds! I just want to get it updated, I have work to do! :-)
