AVC-Intra-codec activation required

peterphelan wrote on 1/26/2018, 3:55 PM

Having now finally installed my new Pro X - (version 15.05.211) - I now receive the above pop up window - inviting me to buy this activation for £60.00 - when trying to import my Panasonic GH5 footage. This is just a normal 25p 4k 150mbs 10 bit .mov file, which I am able - and have always been able - to import into my old Pro X6 software just fine. So I am back using that again now!

What has changed? Any ideas please?
Thanks.
Peter

A quick update and warning to anyone else using Panasonic GH5 cameras and thinking of upgrading to Pro X. I have been unable to get a response from Magix Support, so have given up and reluctantly had to ask for a refund on my upgrade. .

My guess is that there is a bug in the software which now incorrectly thinks all Panasonic GH5 files are of the much higher 400 ms bit rate and Al -i format etc. So I am continuing with X6 which continues to open my files as normal.

I confirm this fact also at my place. Pro X also has problems with recordings over 50 Mbps. When will it be fixed? Today, many cameras have a bitrate above 50 Mbps. Links to sample recordings

Max 50 Mbps https://mega.nz/#!pyZD1B7R!raJeT8tyWrU5XFjtOBB5dfcTWE2GZeoDyesrABsDreM

Above 50 Mbps https://mega.nz/#!IvI0nCzQ!ozzV_Ja-x1ZUzPqn_uTqy0HbV9k0w4C10v_Qd9AX9bg

It is difficult to recommend this program when it has such errors.

@Michal-MST

Hi

Are the two new videos, linked to, supposed to be samples of original video taken with the GH5s?

If so there is still a problem with both videos they appear to have been converted as I posted before.
