Beginning of samples not playing in sound forge 13

Samples have beginning missing when I play from start.

Like I had a good bass kick at the start but all I hear is the end of the kick noise then it plays the rest of the sample.

I would say its a fraction of a second but its enough to miss out the bass kick.

I am using a dragonfly cobalt USB DAC I wonder if thats something to do with it?

We have no way of knowing which version of SF you have since you obviously did not bother to read the Sticky at the forum header.

That said, is this behavior only in preview (playback)? if it renders normally otherwise, it is likely a buffer setting. Experiment with different Playback buffering settings to get optimal performance in: "Options> Preferences> Audio" and select the 'Playback' tab.
Otherwise, if the buffering adjust does not help and is with lossy file types (mp3, AAC, ect), try enabling "Always proxy compressed formats" in the "Options> Preferences> General" menu. This is for SF Pro.. SF AS (Audio Studio) may be or may not be similar. I am not familiar with the Dragonfly cobalt USB DAC, contact AudioQuest tech support if the above SF changes do not help.

btw, welcome to the Magix Sound Forge uses forum @nnn-nnn, and have a good 2021.

For future reference, also state 'Audio Studio' or 'Pro'.
