Blurry transitions - last frame darker?

I have just tested all 'blurry' transitions in : Transitions / Effect transitions basic, and can not reproduce your findings.

It's Video Pro X 19.0.1.117.
I have to dig a bit deeper into it - it seems footage dependent - it seems to happen with 29,97 fps footage but not 25 or 50 fps.
But it does not happen with the same footage in MEP 2021 on the same machine.

Hi,

Confirmed in same version - 29.97fps - the last frame of the transition is noticeably darker.

As well, the Edit Trimmer still does not like the Blurry Transitions and the range that it seems to be looking at on the timeline, or at least where the playback marker goes to and moves from when previewing in the trimmer, is not the selected transition.

I too cannot reproduce this when mixing different framerate video.

What Processor and Graphics card/chipset do you have - full make and model names please?

What is selected in the Program Settings, Device options, Hardware acceleration, 3 options ?

It would also help if you put your computer specs in your signature - see mine for an example of what is needed.

Added: v19.0.1.117, tested with several combinations of UHD630/RTX 2060

Yes, it happens with two 29.97 clips for me too. I tested on Intel 8350U with integrated graphics on notebook and also on a Ryzen 9 3900X / Radeon RX 580 on desktop with similar results. Actually with longer transitions sometimes it's more darker frames - like the end of a regular fade to black.

Tested with 2 x 29.97 fps transitioning and get this, it would appear to be a NTSC specific bug.

Also, can you please take a look at what happens with the Edit Trimmer when trying to use Blurry transitions. This was #21 on my bug list and I am still getting the same thing in VPX13.

Hi John

The trimmer editor behaviour is the same as in #21 on your bug list ie the top control (red) in the image below does not work, the other 2 (green ) do with Blur transitions when the conditions are right for the 2 controls.

This is the same behaviour as in MEP 2021 for Blur transitions.
