Bug when switching movie by KB shortcut

terrypin wrote on 5/3/2014, 4:28 AM

I reported this minor but irritating bug 15 months ago, for MEP 2013, but it still remains unfixed.

As in just about every application I can think of which supports multiple windows, MEP supports the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+F6 to switch to the next movie if more than one is in use. And Shift+Ctrl+F6 to switch to the previous one. But in MEP it fails to highlight the correct tab. So at a glance you can easily think you're in Movie A but you're actually in Movie B. As I did this morning, messing up a complex project

The obvious opportunity was to correct it before releasing MEP 2014. But it wasn't even in one of the subsequent patches. I'd have thought it was a pretty trivial matter.

Anyway, I've sent a reminder.

Hi Terry

Agree the tab highlighting does not change - however the movie title at the top of the preview monitor does!

Morning John,

Good point. I'll have to get in the habit of focusing on that instead of the tab! I've just finished unscrambling the mess I made by editing the wrong 'movie' for a while (it was actually a sort of work area).

MAGIX feedback  on my reminder:

I just checked on the status of this issue. It was reported as fixed by our developers last August, but apparently deemed too trivial to be put into an update for version 2013 back then. Looks like revision management then once again played some tricks on them and the broken version survived and made it into MEP 2014 again. I re-opened my old report and confirmed that the problem is still in the current generation. Hopefully it will be sorted out now. Sorry, and thanks for your feedback.
