I have try many of times to burn a dvd disc from Magix Video Pro X 10 software. The disc can not be played on a dvd player .

I have try many of times to contact Magix customer service .Company does not have DIRECT CONTACT PHONE NUMBER TO DISCUSS TECHINCAL SUPPORT. As a professional videographer ,I am very disappointed with this video software company.

Hi James,

I am also a professional videographer and having been using Magix video editing software for many years. I currently use VPX10 just like yourself and have been for at least 3 years. Since then, I have burnt in excess of 2000 dvds for clients with no problems whatsoever, so I can assure you that that the problem is not with the software. It is most likely that you have a hardware problem or are using the wrong procedure for burning.

As you have given absolutely no information on your editing system or you working procedures, it is impossible to guess at why you are not able to burn dvds. If you could kindly reply with the required information as requested at the top of the forum page, then us fellow users may be able to help you.

Hi Rodger,

Thank you for your response.I have a Super micro computer that was build for video for me. I am sorry for the misunderstanding about burning a dvd disc. I am able to burn a DVD disc only to play on a blue ray player or computer and not on a DVD player. If you can relay any information or guidance on how I can resolve this issue,please let me know. Email or call back on business line ( preferred)

Thank you James

@JAMES-COLLINS

Please guide us through your steps and selections when creating the DVD. As you have still not provided any relevant details, helping you is still pretty much a guesswork.

But your information that the DVD works on PC and BlueRay players indicates that you create the DVD in a format suitable for BD and not for DVD. A DVD does not support FullHD, nor AVCHD format, you need to use the correct export option. It is also relevant what type of DVD disc you use, DVD+R or DVD-R, as not all players are able to read all disks.

@JAMES-COLLINS

Please be aware these are user to user (public) forums so personal data, like email addresses or phone numbers, should never be posted here.

It is clear that you are in the United States and I know that Roger is in the United Kingdom, hence it is highly unlikely that he would even consider telephoning you.

However, from the rather limited information you have given us (Roger directed you to this post which shows the level of detail we really do need) it seems that the type of disc you are using is not compatible with your DVD player OR you are not burning to the disc standard which your player expects, NTSC for the US.
