Hi

. . . . I have unattached audio track from video track, but now I would like to re-attach . . .

Select the video, then hold down the Ctrl and click the audio. then click the Group icon (chain link) above the timeline.

Hi John.
Have you ever found a shortcut for removing audio from object.
I made this suggestion to Magix support at one stage as a possible item in a patch but didn't get a reply on it.
All my audio and video are on one track but I would like to create a custom shortcut for it.
Doug.

Hi Doug

Unfortunately not, I know @terrypin uses a small macro program for automating many shortcuts and routine operations perhaps he may be able to help.

Hi both,

I'd happily share my macros but unlike similar free tools like AutoHotkey and AutoIt!, Macro Express Pro does not support creation of a free runtime executable. You'd have to install the program first.

Hi Doug,

Can you explain in a bit more detail the setup and what you are trying to do?

Are you trying to turn off the sound on all video clips? I think that removing the audio and turning it off do about the same thing.

Do you have video objects on other tracks, or is it just track 1 that you want to turn off the sound? Again, all video clips?

No, I am trying to remove the audio object.
Audio and video are on the same track within the one object. I right click and select remove or restore audio object.
I choose to import audio and video on the same track because all my work is multi cam sometimes using 13 cameras so having audio on a separate track would be a nightmare.
I generally use 1 clean audio source and once I sync all the cameras, I then remove all the audio from the camera objects.
it would be nice to create a single key shortcut to simplify the process.
Doug.

@DugsBugs

Hi Doug,

Why don't you just mute the tracks with the video/audio still attached?

The playback can get choppy with that much audio attached even when muted.
All good. I’ll keep right clicking.
Maybe one day they’ll add a short cut.
Doug.
