I've got a new set-up running Windows 7 and Magix Audio Studio 11 crashes because it was really built to run on XP. I want to know if there's a way of using the effects from AS11 in Music Maker 17. The noise reduction and multi-band compressors are SO nice to use in AS11, with nothing comparable in MM17. Where are the dlls? And please tell me I can use them.
It is doubtful that the effects from MAS-11 can be transferred to MM-17. I'm not saying it is impossible, BUT since I don't have MAS-11, MM-17, or Windows 7, and you haven't supplied sufficient information, I couldn't say for sure.
MAGIX does not use VST plug-ins for their effects suites. They use their own proprietary file format. So, there's no .dll file associated with them.
Have you tried changing the compatibility of MAS-11 to XP? You can also set up you computer as a dual boot system and run MAS-11 on XP. But then you'd wind up constantly shuffling your files from MM-17 to MAS-11 and back again.
