I'm having problem adding titles to my videos. When I create a new title an object appears in my timeline which cannot to manipulated, i.e. no way to extend its length to fit a video clip. If I delete it and try again the same thing happens. I did get an extendable object on one attempt but it was created on track 4 (I'm only using tracks 1 and 2). When I deleted it and tried to create a new title I was back to the fixed object.
Can anyone tell me if I'm doing anything wrong?

You've not given us much to go on! Maybe you didn't notice this at the top of the forum?
Particularly useful items in this case would be:
- The product name and version
- The exact steps you're taking to add a title
- Whether you're a new or experienced user; and if the former whether you've studied the section on Titles in Help or the PDF manual.
But I'll make the assumption (guess) that you're using either MEP 2016 (Plus or Premium) or MEP Premium (alias MEP 2017), latest version in either case (from Help > About Magix Movie Edit Pro...).
There are several ways to add a title. The following screenshots illustrate one method:

If you are trying to stretch it across you timeline view like the pictures above try zooming in CTRL+up arrow then you can grab the edge of the title and drag it to the length you want.
