@Todd-Crandell

Welcome to the Magix users forums.

The first "port of call" for support is almost always these forums, where users assist each other where they are able to do so.

First, in order to try and help you can you give the full name of that .exe file you have downloaded? If its name includes the letters "dlm" that is an indication that you have the Magix Download Manager for VdL 2026. Its purpose is to initiate the download from the Magix servers of the program installation files, and then to begin the actual installation.

As such, it must have access to the Magix Servers. Unfortunately, it is quite likely that you Antivirus/Firewall is blocking such access and hence the installation is failing to run or complete. Even the standard Windows Defender can present problems in this area.

So, your first step must be to ensure that your AV/Firewall is allowing connection to and from the Magix servers.

Once that permission is confirmed, try running the .exe file again.

Does this help?

Perfect. Thanks. That worked for me. It was a dlm file and I took the advice in your message.
