Cannot Re-Install Magix Movie Edit Pro MX Plus

mvorster wrote on 4/15/2014, 5:08 PM

When i try to do the installation it says 'The installation is not possible because the following related product is installed on your computer'.
I have looked at the products name in the control panel but i couldn't find it. After I searched for Magix in the Start Menu Search box and deleted everything I found on my PC but the issue still persist, even after, when I search and cannot see any Magix files.
I only have word and adobe reader files created by me where i mentioned Magix - they still come up in the search.
Please help, thanks!

Hi.

Assuming you have previously registered your copy of MEP MX with MAGIX, go to the MAGIX web site, log in to your account and go to the "Support" section of the site.  Under "Downloads" you should find a menu item "Tools and others"; on this page find and download "MAGIX Cleaner".  Run this very small utility, it is designed to remove all MAGIX-related files, registry items etc., so if you have other MAGIX programs on your computer it may also affect them.

Then try reinstalling MEP MX again.

I did it before unfortunately it didn't help, neither Revo Uninstall Pro. Should I check the registry?

Hi

. . . . Should I check the registry?  . . .

Only as a last resort!

Can you post a screen shot of the actual message?

Which antivirus program are you using - I suspect it may be interfering with the installation process.

all good, I deleted all files from the registry with Revo Uninstall Pro and succesfully installed Magix again :)
