Cannot record at different volumes

Hi. I unplugged the mic & after plugging it in, Magix only records at a very low base volume no matter how loud I record. Basically, I could shout into the microphone, & the volume would still just be a flat, low line. I've adjusted all the audio/volume settings in Magix & on the microphone I can think of. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I know it's not the micrphone because the same thing happens w/ an alternate mic.

Thanks!

Are you using laptop or desktop?

Are you using Windows Xp, Vsta, 7 or 8?

Which version of Music Maker are you using?

Ok, You have already checked Music Maker Volume.

Did you also check computer volume level? you can check the level if you click on bottom right the Speaker icon.

Also check via Control Panel/Sound/Play/Level.

Hi,

Depending on your sound card, check if +20dB option is enabled at the volume level panel of Windows for the mic (generaly at the bottom).
