Under the Burn tab, in the Disc Options section, do you have Chapter menu enabled?

Yes I have it checked. I have basically only the "chapters" tab checked. That gives me the chapter menu like I needed. Now I have a countdown file that plays before the menu comes up. I do not have the introductory box checked. Can't get rid of it. Any suggestions?

@rexbond

Hi

You appear to have 2 issues here:

. . . . it creates a page that shows the chapters but it is static . . . .

Chapter menus, unlike main menus which can be animated, are static in MEP.

. . . . I have basically only the "chapters" tab checked . . . .

By definition a DVD disc must have at least one movie menu, trying to use chapter menus without at least one main menu does not always work properly.

Are you wanting to create a multi movie disc by putting together several movies on one timeline and adding chapters so as to give a menu where a user can select which movie to play?

I assume your Disc options look something like this and that you do not want an intro video?

It seems that you're somehow in an invalid state. Try clicking the highlighted icon. Do you see this message?

If so, click Yes and then Cancel from the resulting browse window. Does that clear the problem?

If not, play with checkmarking Film menu and Intro video and Chapter menu to see if you reach a valid state.

Otherwise save the project and re-open and try again. Failing that, do you have auto-backup set, so that you can try progressively older versions?

John and I were clearly composing at the same time!

I also meant to ask you to tell us what template you're using. Behaviour varies.
