Chroma Key

Is there a tutorial anywhere on Chroma-key? I've used the idea on another programme but can't follow the terminology in MEP plus 2016. I can find the Chroma key effect but the options of ' Stamp, colour, mix, Green, blue, water, Alpha, black, white, threshold and transparent are almost meaningless to me! Surely there is a tutorial somewhere?

Have a look at these tutorials:

https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=movie+edit+pro+chroma+key

This one looks ok:

The chroma keying in Movie Edit Pro seems a little basic, but it probably does the job!

You should definitely check out the color button, because that gives you a little more control

Thanks for your reply, there seem to be many tutorials on youtube. I didn't think of looking there, The one you suggest is good so I'll follow that. I'll also look at the others. I really appreciate your help. Bill

Hi Bill,

Did you look up Chroma in the manual? F1, Search, Chroma. Everything is defined, but not in detail. Try out the various ones to see what they do.

Look up Chroma, Alpha, masks in this Q&A part and also in the Forum tab. There have been many discussions, you just have to find the right key words to find them. And, there are some tutorials under the Tutorials tab that use masks and chroma key. Take a look.

Thanks, John. I'm working my way through your suggestions. I'm getting some idea of it all now, so I'll put things into practice soon.
