Import subtitling files is not a supported feature in Movie Edit Pro (MEP) or Video Pro X (VPX) - you would have to move across to Vegas Pro which supports subtitling/closed captioning using SRT files.

Note: MEP and VPX project files cannot be imported into Vegas Pro.
