Purchased "magix music studio" in 2012 and used to for about four years. Would like to upgrade to "samplitude music studio 2021". Would my old 2012 music files be compatible with upgrade?

Would like to use "music studio 2021" with my laptop. Laptop has no analog line inputs but does have usb 3.1 and usb 3.0 inputs. Does "music studio 2021" support recording through these inputs? Are there any latency problems?
