Computer Camera "disturbing" Magix

Hi. I have started to use Magix Video Easy after a long break to digitize my old VHS tapes. I managed to install it to my Windows 10 computer, and everything went fine until I did a mistake: I created a new project without connecting the USB converter to my computer first. That seem to have made my computer's camera the "number one option" for Magix. I can still choose the converter from the menu but when I try to convert my VHS tapes, nothing happens because the computer camera is on and it somehow prevents Magix from using the converter. I have tried to put the camera off but that doesn't help, it still gets on.

Any tips for what I should do?

Hi, and welcome to the user to user forums.

Try connecting the converter and starting Windows. Wait for Windows to fully load. Then go to Windows power options by clicking on the Windows icon in the bottom task bar and pressing Power. Select Restart from the three options rather than shutdown. That should give you a clean boot restart rather than Windows remembering the last configuration it had when you use the shutdown option or hit the power off button.

See if that works.
