Constant crashing

I have the latest subscription to vegas pro 17. I am a new user. I started getting crashes every 30 minutes and that was bad but manageable. The crash interval has been getting shorter and shorter. The crash interval is now about a minute. I don't think there is anything that is triggering it, usually happens right be for I wanted to save... :) This software is pretty much unusable. Anyone have any suggestions?

I have a dell precision 5510 with i7 and a quadro m1000m, 32GB memory and an ssd. I am using windows 10 and it is a fresh install about 2 months ago.
