Crashes and Hardware

Hi

My current Project won't load into Movie Edit Pro 2013 so I have been looking at Movie Edit Pro 2014. The lising at Amazon says it requires a quad core processor with a clock speed of at least 2.8Ghz.

I have checked what MY processor is, it s an Intel Core i7-3740QM @ 2.7GHz

Is that too weedy for the current and future releases ? Is this WHY the Project is crashing ?

Hi

If the current project will not load in MEP2013 then it will not load into MEP2014 either.

What message are you getting when the project tries to load?

As John said, that's not the issue with this particular project (which we're discussing in another thread).

But I'm puzzled by that specification. For years (from MEP 11 up to to MEP 2014 Premium) I've been happily creating many quite complex 1920 x 1080 videos with my XP (32-bit) PC which has a 2.66 GHz quad core processor and of course uses not much more than 3 GB of its 4 GB RAM.
