Crashing

Alan-Smith wrote on 11/6/2020, 7:14 AM

During a two hour period of doing straight forward editing (adding photos & music) on Movie Edit Pro Plus (Ver 20.0.1.73) it has crashed 4 times. After the first time, I sent a crash report. This is the first time I have used the software since I updated it at your suggestion. Very disappointed.

Thank you to those who have replied. I appreciate your advice and realised I should have contacted Magix directly. I have now done this and they are on the case.

Hi Alan and welcome to the user to user forum for Magix Movie Edit Pro.

First I would like to say there are no Magix staff here but sorry for your current problem.

I assume you are referring to the pop-up advertising nag screens you get from time to time as the term 'suggestion' that you use.

They can be annoying at best and not helpful at worst. Mainly their function is to remind a user that their support and update service is about to expire. Any upgrade offer should be checked against what hardware is supported first. I think at this point it would be useful for them to also provide a system checker to make sure current hardware is fully compatible before deciding on a purchase.

If you need to talk to Magix staff I would suggest emailing them direct at infoservice@magix.net or get in contact with the sales team at sale@magix.net

Ray.

Hi

Please note this is a user to user forum and not Magix Support.

For us to help you we need more information:

  1. Computer specification, Windows version and Movie Edit Pro version - see this topic for details of what is required.

  2. Are you getting any error messages? If so what are they?

  3. What is the format of the video you are adding to the timeline ? A MediaInfo analysis would help, see the linked to topic again for this.
