Crystal Ball Gazing

Now that Vegas is with BorisFX and Magix has confirmed future updates to VDL and ProX, I have some questions about Magix's future.

1) Has anybody seen any signs of improved support?

2) What will take the place of Vegas stabilization in VDL and ProX? Will Magix retain rights to these or will Magix rely on Prodad extras, or will they create their own stabilization? (Or, and I hope not, not even include stabilization in the future).

3) Will Magix update their quite old training videos for VDL and ProX?

Any thoughts or insights?

Barry

Hi

To answer your questions, from my point of view:

  1. Yes and no, responses are getting better, however the going round in circles with the AI feature is a pain, it ewill eventually give up and forward the request to a Support person.

  2. ProDad Mercalli has been offered as a plugin for several generations of VPX and VD, IMHO it is better than the Vegas stabilisation, which is too aggressive in the zooming to remove borders.

  3. Good question re the Magix tutorials, there are many that need updating to match the version being offered.

There are many user made tutorials listed here, some on specific topics which users have asked about in the forum however some of those are also using older versions. Updating to the latest versions can be very time consuming however, for the most part, the appearance or location of the effects are different.

A typical example of the changes is the Size Position & Rotation effects from older versions have been merged together and has extra features which make postioning easier and the rotation order controls, ie

Hi,

3) Will Magix update their quite old training videos for VDL and ProX?

I've made a lot of tutorials, some of which are under Tutorials in this forum, all are on my YouTube channel, including some newer ones.

Is there anything in particular that you would like to see?

Here is the first tutorial on Size/Position/Rotation that John EB mentioned:
