I'm sure you have rebooted the PC and the other usual procedures after an update?

Are you sure it is not the SF selection grid lines, ('Options' menu) that can be enabled by mistake. Can you post screenshot?

Otherwise, try resetting SF to the factory defaults which can also clear the cache.

Yes, I rebooted. Same thing. Selection grid lines aren't enabled (I tried various combinations).

In this case, I suspect Windows because when I took a normal screenshot (Win+Print screen), the errors were not there. The photo is from my phone.

I reset the cache and preferences. Then I reset my display color preference to "white" and the errors still appeared. Same thing with other display colors.

Video adapter is NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070.

@David-Hovel

Are the graphics drivers for your GPU fully updated? The problem could well be with a recent Windows Update but I would certainly check that your graphic card drivers are fully up to date.

I recall reading of similar lines, in both cases they disappeared as mysteriously as they appeared. ???

Try the SF reset (File menu) or reinstall. Layouts and keyboard customization will be reset as well, so you may want to back those files: <.ini> and Window Layout <.ForgeWindowLayout> files for are in the AppData\Roaming\Magix.
note: 'AppData' is a normally hidden system folder.
