Just bought Magix Samplitude Music Studio (2017?) having happily used Music Maker 2003 since it's release.

Currently getting my head around Music Studio on a Win10 platform, using a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 interface.

My problem is that, having connected either guitar, or vocals to the Scarlett, and having selected the correct source (level meter dutifully bouncing around), when I click on record, the DAW plays between 18 - 32 clicks before actually starting to record anything.

It's set to have an 8 beat lead in so could anyone give me a clue what I'm doing wrong please?
