I am tasked to do a video with a logo in the corner. I have the logo (transparent GIF), but Magix Edit Pro will only display either the video or the logo (black screen). Help, please?
The basic plot is to place the video on track 1, then your gif on track 2. Use the Size and Position effect as desired on your gif. Put the play marker over your gif and you will see it, with the video behind. MEP looks up, so a higher-numbered track appears on top of a lower-numbered track when viewed in the monitor
If you see a black box where your gif is, click on it, then go to the Chroma Key effect (in the "Video Effects" section), then click "black". The black will disappear hopefully leaving only your logo visible on top of the video.
If all that is gobbledegook, I suggest you have a look at the tutes via the link at the top of this page from JohnCB.
BTW, we're unpaid volunteer fellow-users, not Magix staff.
Assuming that the GIF is on a higher track number than the video, MEP should recognise transparency in GIF files, do you get the same result if you use a PNG file that has transparency?
What graphics cards are in you computer and are their drivers up to date?

@Rasmus-Jrgensen Hi, you can upload a full sized screen shot using the arrow button next to the smiley at the top of a new comment if @AAProds suggestion doesn't work
MAGIX Movie Edit Pro Premium 365 is £3.99/month or £55.99 inc a yr's updates & an unlimited length licence, that's not substantial for a program as fast & efficient as Magix is. in fact it's one of the cheapest to buy.
