Yes, you are qualified.

The new version has an upgraded video engine. Be sure that you have an Intel processor with an internal GPU to use hardware acceleration while exporting.

When you are editing videos you can also use Nvidia or AMD graphics card but not for exporting.

@Steven-Schmitz

Do you have Plus or Premium? If only basic, I strongly suggest and upgrade to Plus or Premium.

What are the specs of your new computer?

Intel I5, 8GB, I believe it's Intel integrated graphics but it is far superior to the 6 year old Pentium that I was using with the old movie edit 2016 lol.

Hi Steven.

Please don't underestimate the new system requirements. The website page is quoting bare minimum requirements to get MEP 2021 to run. Not necessarily run well. Full processor model number would be appreciated and you may find you will need to at least double your ram. Also an appropriate nvidia card starting with a 1050 GTX wouldn't go amiss. We have had complaints from a lot of disappointed users who used the minimum spec on the Magix website as a guide to MEP 2021 working. Just opening Task Manager will show if your CPU has a GPU and which graphics type.

Ray.

I appreciate all the help! I picked up Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 17 with the upgrade as opposed to getting a newer Movie Edit Pro. (I used Sony Movie Studio 13 Platinum before and they had me as an registered owner so they allowed the upgrade price.) So far, and I have only done one assembled project with a few minor effects and titles, that program is working extremely well. CubeAce, I know what you are saying. I am working in 1080p right now, but I'll bet if 4k was something I was working with, the system I have would surely not work all that well. For now 4k isn't in the cards. Thanks again!
