Does Acid pro have a CHANCE!!. Recently the owners of Acid Pro Magix sold off Samplitude, Sequoia and Music Studio. Here's the article.

These three DAW's were really big time players in the make up of the Magix line of production software. They were so in command that it actually made little sense for them to focus on Acid Pro since they already had Samplitude, Sequoia, Music Studio, Music Maker, Sound Forge etc. They already had a stellar line up of beginner DAW's to Professional. So what would be the point of them focusing on Acid other than to cater to there community. Which after awhile that kinda falls thin if the community is not as strong as lets say the Vegas Pro community.
Acid was left on the bench for a minute. But now with this recent sale everything kinda changes. Magix no longer has a professional music DAW in there line up. Samplitude was there flagship, followed by Sequoia then Acid Pro. Music Maker was always marketed as there beginner DAW, and Sound Forge there audio editor. But now since there flagship and the next up in line been taken out of the line up, Acid Pro is left as there only real professional DAW.
I think that could be great news for the Acid Pro community. All I ask is that we support. If Magix comes out with a new version of Acid Pro, buy it. Yeah we know it may not be perfect, but lets show them we care and support. Other communities like the MPC community, the Pro Tools community the FL Studio community supports there product line no matter what. Even if they don't like the new stuff they will try it then complain lol. Acid Pro really kicks a lot of DAW's butts as far as the workflow is concerned. It's Beat Mapper is awesome and its Smart Keys are great for quick editing. So if Magix does crown Acid as its new flag ship, lets show them some love and support.
