@AAProds Boris FX doesn't support anything regarding Vegas before version 2026.

@Glen-Brown Have you selected the effect plugins during installation? See here:

Do you maybe need the New Blue FX Application manager to activate the plugins? https://newbluefx.com/blog/understanding-newblue-app-manager/

Please check your New Blue FX customer account here: https://www.newbluefx.com/login/

Just like Magix doesn't support earlier Magix products but this forum does? My link was to the forum which states:

Use this area to discuss software no longer in production including Vegas Movie Studio,

@AAProds Magix is still responsible, that @Glen-Brown can install and use the software.

@SP. @AAProds @Glen-Brown

MS16 was released before Magix took over the product line so, technically, Al @AAProds is correct; it is not a Magix product.

However, I agree this is a very grey area but, since I understand ALL the previous Vegas developers now work for BorisFX, the advice to post to the forum which Al linked is the best that can be offered in this forum.

@emmrecs That's incorrect, Magix took the responsibilities over from Sony by integrating old licenses and installers into their customer account system while Boris FX did no such thing.

Yes, the developers now work for Boris FX, but they basically cannot do anything except telling you to upgrade to version 2026.

I agree, but that is NOT the same thing as at least implying that Magix is responsible for ensuring that third-party software continues to "work" with a product which they, Magix, had no hand in creating and manufacturing.

I also agree with your earlier suggestion that @Glen-Brown needs to contact NewBlue to request their assistance with the problem!

That's not correct. Vegas Movie Studio 16 is a Magix product as was VMS15 and VMS14. VMS13 was both SCS and Magix. Magix took over after VMS13 had been released and then released it as a re-badged version. I have the Magix re-badged version.

For whatever NLE I purchased thru Magix, I received an email with all the serial activation codes I would need. So, I put those emails in a couple of safe places just in case I needed them again.
