When looking to purchase software you will find that the majority of manufacturers/suppliers give specifications for the software these will include the operating systems that their programs will work on. If the operating system you want to use is not mentioned then the software will not run on that OS.

In the case of Movie Edit Pro (MEP) these are here.

Also running Windows emulators on other OS's does not guarantee that the software will work, in the case of MEP, it will not run on another OS that it was not designed for.
