I am a regular and satisfied user of Movie Pro 16 (in fact I've used the Vegas series for years and years), but decided it might be nice to upgrade. I purchased Pro 17 last week, installed it on my desktop and upon opening the program I received the "igdrclneo64.dll" error, the program crashing. It crashed multiple times before I contacted support.
The Error Details read as:

I then went to my graphics card and updated my Radeon driver, and updated Windows to the latest version, but it produced no solution.
I contacted Magix support, letting them know that I have a Windows 10 Home machine (Processor Intel i7-6700) with AMD Radeon Graphics Processor R9 360. They then sent me back what likely was a cut-and-paste response letting me know that the problem is with my NVidia graphics card, with links to different ways I can uninstall/reinstall drivers, etc, that may help with the problem. The difficulty is, I'm not super computer literate, and really have no confidence in my ability to execute the kinds of work arounds in those forum links, but worse, unless I have it completely wrong, I don't even have the graphics card that those links were meant to solve. The reason I suspect this was a cut and paste response is that the exact same wording was also found in an old Reddit post "Doing some research, it appears this component has been quite problematic as of late." I don't mind routine responses in support, I know its a heavy load to respond to people, but it makes me feel like I'm very far from a solution. Apparently there has been some kind of Movie Edit problem with NVidia for over a year, but, now I seem to be facing a similar "igdrclneo64.dll" problem, but AMD Radeon.
So, my question is kind of two fold. One, I'm pretty concerned that I just won't have the technical expertise to execute whatever driver uninstall/reinstall suggestion that might be given to me, even if perfectly correct...but, since all the advice I've been able to uncover both in Magix Support and by Googling around, so far, has been for a card I don't even have, it seems there is a history of NVidia issues, but now there is a Radeon issue. I'm doubly concerned. But secondly, my particular case seem to be a problem that is specific to Pro 17. Pro 16 is running just fine on my machine, even now. It has no igdrclneo64.dll issue. This error problem is new to Pro 17, it would appear.
My biggest concern is this. I have a new laptop coming that will be running on the NVidia Quadro card. I got this laptop just so I can do my video editing on the move, and I upgraded to Pro 17 just for this new machine. I have installed it on my desktop first, and find that it is just crashing. Because Movie edit seems to have a history of igdrclneo64.dll issues with NVidia, and my coming laptop has an NVidia card, I concerned that I'll just be in the same bind. Unable to use it on my desktop (w/ Radeon) or on my laptop (w/ Nvidia).
Sorry for such a long, detailed explanation of where I find myself, I just wanted you to see the details of what I'm facing. I'm happy enough to take a refund on Pro 17 if it just isn't workable, and keep using Pro 16. But it would be awesome if I could make 17 work for me. As I say I've been a long time, and loyal user of the Sony/Magix series, and have really been happy with it. This is the first time that I feel like I'm up against a wall.
