1. Go to the folder view on the right , select a folder, and wait for the thumbnails to populate. 2. With the desired folder selected, I click on Database-->Search in Database. 3. I click on the Search for Similar Photos tab and select "In Current Folder." Everything else selected is per the screen shot. 4. I click on Search, it runs...and I don't see a list appear.
And the app crashes every so often...just closes.
And...does the app have to have a photo selected to search for duplicates? I'd like to be able to have it search all my photos and show me all the ones that are or may be duplicates...without selecting a source photo. Does that make sense?
I am also interested in the last question posed by Carlos J: does the software allow a scan of all photos and then highlight all duplicates? This was the main reason I purchased the Deluxe, as the advertising implies this to be the case. I did not read anywhere in the promo material that the software would require me to select an individual image and then search for a duplicate. If this is the only option for searching for duplicates then it should be made clearer.
BobH, one of the main reasons I to purchased Photo Manager Deluxe was because I was led to believe it had the ability to scan all my photos and identify duplicates. It is not feasible for me to select each individual image and search for duplicates.
