I purchased the Movie Studio Suite, but when I entered my download code, I received BlueFX Cartoonr Plus, and that I was unable to even open.
I tried returning the product to Best Buy today, but they wouldn't allow it, so now I am trying to contact Magix, but apparently that is next to impossible.
Any help via this avenue would be much appreciated, so I can actually use this product I paid $90 for.

Hello and welcome to the user to user forums.
Unfortunately you must deal with the retailer that you purchased your software from under the customer consumer act. Magix will have no record of your transaction. The matter must be dealt with by Best Buy.
You are about the 7th person on these forums to complain about Best Buy within the last year.
As far as we know Best Buy has resolved the problems. At least no-one has come back to say otherwise.

AFAIK when you purchase from BestBuy you get a voucher code for the program. Have you redeemed this here?
You should then receive an email with your serial numbers and download links for the program and any additional software included.
If you have already downloaded the trial version of the program you can activate this with the serial number and then download the extra content.

John, I may have been holding my mouth the wrong way but IIRC, when I tried to "re-activate" my trial version with my paid-for P3 code, I got an error-14. I uninstalled the trial, installed the version linked-to in my receipt email, and I got it to activate OK.
Are we supposed to be able to activate the trial with our paid P3 code?

In theory activating the trial version with a serial number should unlock both the program and features for the extra content, however Movie Studio would appear to have specific downloads, rather than the previous single download with the features unlocked for the different versions, being dependent on the serial number.

I think I was just thrown off-guard by the whole sequence of how it all works. I assumed I could enter my download code and then immediately start installing/running the main movie studio program, however I did receive the email, and then I assumed the first link was what I needed to click to activate the main program. The first link though is the Cartoonr program. I didn't initially realize there were more download links if I scrolled down the email, so I found what I needed there, and I appear to be good to go now.
Glad to unlock the Magix method, and I hope the Movie Studio Suite suits me well. Thank you for the help.

If you have any issues with the program come back here and provide ddetails of the issue, we may need your computer specification so I would suggest you put this in your profile signature for future reference and save us having to ask for it, see this topic for what is required and my signature as an example.
