Downloaded demo but can't get past the opening screen

I cannot get Movie Edit Pro Plus to open. I downloaded a demo and tried to run it as a demo. It is asking me for a license number which is supposed to be sent to me when I register. However, when I click on Register, it doesn't do anything.

Hi, welcome to the Magix forums.

If the Registration screen is failing to contact the Magix servers (assuming they're not affected by the current worldwide cyberhack!) I would suggest you ensure your firewall is allowing MEP through. it doesn't do anything sounds very much as if the connection from your computer to Magix is being blocked. So, I think you should check your firewall settings.
