Effects do not show in preview window

My Magix Edit Pro 2017 is version 16.0.4.124 (UDP3). It suddenly stopped showing video effects in the preview window. This makes it very difficult to edit videos as you cannot tell whether you have adjusted brightness, contrast etc correctly. Can somebody help me with this problem? By the way, I'm using Windows 10 Education version 64 bit with a iCore7 8th gen and 16 GB ram

@davidm-thangliana

Hi

Click and hold on the Lightning icon, bottom right of the Preview window, until you see the options dropdown open. There should be 2 options checked by default Reduce resolution and Reduce frame rate, if the Disable effects option is checked, uncheck it.

The Lightning icon, by default, should be on, ie blue, if it is not then click it to turn it on.

Thanks, johnebaker, you are a life saver. Effects had been deactivated, don't how. But it's working fine now. Thanks a lot!!
